Hi, I'm Margaret,

I'm a sociologist and a writer who loves animals and also loves art, as you can see, and gardening (mainly now in pots).

I grew up with dogs, cats, chooks [and neighbourhood goats], and respect those in my care as sentient creatures, not toys.

I'll follow your feeding and caring routines so your pets are comfortable and will feel secure in their home in your absence. They will be treated as treasured companions, deserving of conversation and petting.

I know how to get a wood-fired heater working; ditto a reverse cycle air conditioner; and can start a lawn mower (usually); operate a dish washer and vacuum cleaner, and will wear inside shoes inside, if preferred.

I enjoy house-sitting because being a new comer to SA, it's a wonderful way to explore Adelaide in real detail, and visit other parts of the state.
