Firstly, we have been the homeowners where our pets were looked after and we know how stressful it can be if you’re not kept in the loop with your fur babies. We just want to set your minds at ease. We will always let you know how your pets and house are going by keeping you informed via messaging and providing photos. We’ll do this as often as you like.

We’re both in our mid sixties and honest, reliable and clean. We look forward to meeting you and welcome the chance to look after your house and pets

David is a plumber by trade, but spent a number of years installing tv antennas and satellite dishes. He’s an excellent handyman who recently finished building our transit van to travel in, which we just sold in February.

I was a registered psych nurse for 38 years and more recently worked as a house cleaner and online tutor for children learning English as a second language.

We now live and travel in our 6.6 mt caravan so we would need somewhere to park our van. We would prefer to stay in the house we’re sitting in so we can focus all our love and affection onto your pets etc.

We have owned our own homes and the last one in Cairns before selling, we ran as a full-time BnB for 3 years. We both did all the cleaning of the house, maintenance, gardens and pool.

We love all animals and have enjoyed the company of our own dogs, cats, chooks and fish. Most of our pets have lived long, happy lives and at times had to give them daily oral medications, insulin injections and even monitoring an IV drip over one weekend.

At one stage, I bred miniature longhair dachshunds and kept 2 of the pups to have as pets along with their mother (she had 3 litters producing 17 pups). A lot for a small dog. David used to breed boxers.

We just recently lost our 18 year old cat and would now prefer to enjoy the company of other people’s fur babies.

We’re both non smokers and I enjoy a glass of wine with dinner. David rarely drinks. We’re both very quiet and would prefer to stay home and cuddle or play with your fur babies rather than going out.

Our first sit (for a friend in January 2023) was looking after a young cat for 2 weeks. We loved it so much we decided this was what we wanted to do full time as we missed the company of pets to pamper.

We housesat (for another friend) on a farm with 200 sheep and 12 chooks.

Currently we’re at Port Stephens NSW. This sit (found on fb housesitters group) is looking after a 15 year old cat for 6 months, until the beginning of October. It’s a 2 acre property which consists of lawn mowing on a ride on mower and keeping the grounds neat and tidy.

We begin another sit with two little shih tzu's for 6 weeks and then moving north to look after 3 dachshunds.

We love to pour all our attention on your pets and not afraid to medicate them if the need arises. We’re used to looking after quiet, fussy animals and also playing with energetic ones who love to play and go for walks.

We can care for your pets both in the home and outside. I enjoy gardening and would be very happy to water and look after your plants while you’re away.

We’re open to any sits that will take us along the northern NSW and QLD coast, including the cities. We also need good wifi connection. If the right sit comes along that suits both parties, we’ll jump at the chance. We don’t mind driving a considerable distance to our destination.
