More information about this house sitter

We are a married, healthy, couple from Australia. We commenced housesitting various homes whilst living in Europe/Turkey from June 2009 until September 2010. In each home we have had dogs & cats & sometimes chooks plus gardens/pot plants. This has been a wonderful experience which we will cherish forever. We met some great home owners and their pets who have now become our friends. We love to immerse into the local community and get to know the area and people.

We are currently based in Southport. I have set up a small importing business of tablecloths from Italy and France. I really can operate this mostly from my computer. My husband is now retired which does give us some flexibility.

Since being back in Australia we have completed multiple (lost count) housesits from Sydney to Noosa. However, the majority have been in the Northern Rivers of NSW or Gold Coast/Brisbane & Noosa. We enjoy these areas due to being close to grandchildren and family. However, in saying that we are open to all offers! Most of our housesits have had pets (dogs, cats, birds, chickens and even blue tongue lizards) and gardens to water. I will add that I don't think I am much of a reptile person!

I like to cook and obviously keep fairly busy with my business and grand children.

We love the gypsy/nomadic lifestyle and also get a buzz out of looking after peoples homes and pets. We also enjoy the friends and special relationships formed since becoming housesitters and exploring new areas.

Due to Covid19 we do have to take into consideration and comply with border restrictions and rules etc.

We are fairly new to this site.
