More information about this house sitter

Hi folks. I am a mature, responsible and friendly female who has been caretaking,animal/house sitting since the NSW fires of 2019/2020.

I am an offgrid specialist having lived over 30 years in the bush on farms then my own property,and for the last 5 years caretaking bush properties and occasionally town homes for others.

I have experience with solar systems,pumps etc,as well as cattle,horses,chooks,guinea fowl, ducks, dogs and cats.

My passion has always been growing organic vegetables, and was co-leader of a Sydney botanical gardens sponsored community garden, where I was in charge of building and maintaining wicked raised beds, and where we grew fresh vegetables for a local charity.

I am a clean living animal lover who cares for homes,animals and gardens as I would my own.

I travel with my 12 year old, quiet, friendly kelpie cross faithful companion ( who mostly sleeps these days!), who has all the above experience as well ( excepting perhaps solar and pumps 🙃) .
Her recommendations from all previous home minding stints ( even from those who weren't dog lovers) probably would out do my own, but if my having a dog, compatible and experienced with all animals and homes, is a problem for anyone, then my services are not for you.

I am currently in Brisbane ( 26/12/2024), but will be leaving this gig in a week or so and making my way to the south coast of NSW to be there by the end of February so am available along the way to caretake homes and/or animals if needed.
