Respectful, Protective & Practical

After our enforced lockdown due to the pandemic, we're wanting to make our way north, to get away from the cold winter months of Victoria this year.

I am retired, I suppose you could call Pete semi-retired.

Pete has had a background in the building industry, a great handyman. Recently, he has been making a range of garden furniture and selling at craft markets.

Carol has worked in offices in several industries, in an admin capacity, including legal, real estate, and insurance. This was followed with a stint of making jams and preserves to sell at the markets, but I am now happy to puddle around with a bit of craft.

Lakes Entrance, Victoria is our home town. We love that even though it is a holiday destination, it still has a country town feel to it. It is a laid back life-style here, which we really enjoy.

We are both non-smokers.

We have two daughters, and six adult grandchildren (a set of triplets with one daughter). Daughter number one lives on the Sunshine Coast with her husband and one grandson. The other grandson is in Sydney, whilst the granddaughter lives in Melbourne. Daughter number 2 and her family live in Traralgon. Of her three sons, only one is away from home in Melbourne.

We are used to animals, usually having a dog or two, and a cat or two.

We enjoy the company of dogs, having had a range of dogs over the years in size from large, i.e. dobermann, border collie cross, red heeler through to medium size. (staffie cross). Our current next door neighbour has a red heeler cross. Leo comes in to visit every now and again (because he knows I have "snacks")!

By the same token, cats have also featured in our family and allowed us to share their house at different times. My last ginger boy died aged 19, I have yet to replace him.

We also have had a flock of around 40 laying hens. We found the hens friendly, and quirky. They were a lot of fun - and kept us well supplied with eggs! At the time, we could sell the excess eggs at markets we were participating in.

At one stage we had two goats, Bonnie & Clyde.

As we will be travelling in our caravan, space will be required to park it off road. All we'll need is a flat space somewhere to park it, close to power and water hookup, with maybe use of a laundry. Our caravan will be completely self-contained. Or if you prefer for us to use your sleeping arrangements, then that is fine too.

We are willing to care for and entertain your animals, and to maintain your property as required.

Ideally, we'd be looking for a sit of around 3 to 4 weeks. We are flexible with dates so can arrive to suit your commencement date.
Also available during the school holidays.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for sits within the time frame on the calendar. It makes it a lot easier to lock in dates in advance rather than last minute.
