I'm Steph, a research scientist specialising in child and adolescent wellbeing at the University of Manchester. My professional role involves exploring how various factors shape health and happiness throughout life. It’s rewarding work that aligns perfectly with my care-oriented personality—qualities I naturally extend when looking after homes and beloved pets.
My family is a big part of my life. My husband, Dave, originally from Australia and working in global data and analytics, brings warmth and a relaxed approach to our adventures. Together, we have lovely and chilled 11-year-old twin girls who share our enthusiasm for exploring new places and caring for animals.
Outside of my research, I have a deep interest in travel, nature, and exploring new communities and cultures. I'm particularly passionate about sustainability and enjoy spending time outdoors, whether hiking, gardening, or simply walking in peaceful surroundings. I'm also an avid reader, and I find great joy in relaxing with a good book and a furry companion by my side.
