Born and raised in Sydney in the ’60s, I have spent the past two decades living - and loving a large 100+ family - in Siem Reap, Cambodia. After running an incredibly fulfilling and challenging project for 18 of those years, my husband Rem and I are now finding more time and space for ourselves.

We recently purchased a Toyota Coaster motorhome so we could return to Australia more often and be free to explore. Even though we are fully contained, we joined ‘mindahome’ to connect with and lend a hand to those living off the beaten track. What we seek is safe, scenic places to park our bus and the opportunity to enrich our travels with authentic experiences, genuine people and furry friends.

I grew up on a farm outside of Sydney, rode horses and shared my home with dogs and cats all my life. I love to fix things, make things, declutter and tidy things. Being an Interior Designer in my younger years, I love to design and reorganise spaces of any kind, and I find 'before and after' photos - of almost everything – very satisfying.

My husband is Cambodian; he is quiet and calm by nature. He loves warmer weather and being outdoors ALL the time. He is not a fan of big cities and is intrigued by things many of us take for granted. He appreciates nature and is a keen garden waterer.

We had a wonderful Mindahome experience sitting 120 acres in Margaret River, caring for animals and gardens, and we look forward to enjoying many more like it. I have always appreciated the warmth, mutual trust and respect that comes from staying in someone’s home.

In 2020, when I was unable to return to Cambodia, I spent a great deal of time in the homes of friends and strangers. I even created an Instagram account, ‘inkindliving’, highlighting the creative ways I showed my gratitude for their warm hospitality.
