More information about this house sitter

We are a retired couple, living "The Dream" in our 24ft Kingdom caravan. We spent 10 months of 2016, house sitting, volunteering and travelling Tasmania, which excited us about our future, and we have just finished our latest 12 months there again in 2022 - 2023

Peter is a retired electrician, and is happy to assist with small repairs and maintenance, lawn mowing or any other requests to keep things operational while you have a relaxing holiday.

Being able to "take our house with us" - we are flexible, self contained and can even live "off the grid" if needs be. We love meeting new people, finding "out of the way places", and allowing those we help, to have peace of mind that their home and possessions are in safe and secure hands. We do have our own mobile data - so we don't have to use yours at home.

We have "sat homes" in Stanthorpe, (6 weeks) Wamuran (7 weeks), Curra (near Gympie) (7 days), Bruny Island Tasmania (12 nights), Bellerive - Hobart (3 weeks), and Buderim (6 months), Kilcoy and Woodford 4 months), Ipswich (1 month), Thornlands (8 months), Hobart (6 months), Wynyard (6 months) and Landsborough (3 months) so we are available and capable to meet all of your needs. All of our home owners are happy for us to pass on their contact details - should you ever need "personal references." We just love leaving a house sit - "better than when we arrived" - and if possible, even repairing or refurbishing things that you didn't even know were broken - OR had been struggling with for years.

Peter does have a National Police Reference (21/04/23)

By house sitting for more than a week, we love to invest ourselves into "your local community" and get to know your neighbours and community better. We volunteer wherever possible as we love to "get involved."

UPDATE - (April 2024) After 2 years and 3 months travelling all except Western Australia, we are now back in South East Queensland for 6 - 12 months.

Unfortunately, our best friend and "professional travel-cat" - Miss Misty Rose, passed away at 19 years and four months in April 2024 at Beerwah. She had been in the snow at Cradle Mountain, played in the red dust at Alice Springs and Roxby Downs, seen the heights of the Atherton Tablelands, and run riot at Bruny Island. So many wonderful memories.
