We're the Westphals!
We're the ideal little family for housesitting while you are off on your next adventure. We have joined the house-sitting site in hopes of being able to do some more frequent holidaying throughout the year. Hotels and AirBnBs can be expensive, especially as most of our holidaying is limited to school holiday periods. We both don't drink or smoke and love working with animals. We both enjoy travelling and outdoor adventures.
Let us introduce ourselves.

SAMANTHA
Hi! I'm Samantha, 28, wife and enjoying the Stay-at-Home Mum Life. I am a qualified teacher and taught at a Private School in Brisbane for 4 years before we had our beautiful daughter. Now I am enjoying the flexibility of relief teaching so that I can spend as much time with my daughter as possible. Bethany and I spend our days baking, walking, at the park, or with family whenever possible. I enjoy keeping out house clean and tidy as Bethany loves finding dirt, dust, and crumbs on the ground.

I love animals and always have. We always had pets, dogs, cats, fish, birds, guinea pigs, and chickens. Currently we have one beautiful cattle dog, Aurora, who enjoys eating Bethany's scraps, and the extra walks that come with entertaining a one-year old. When we travel she enjoys staying at my mum's where she is spoilt and gets to be an inside dog, with my mum's cavoodles. Your animals will be well loved and spoilt for attention during our time with them.

ANTHONY
Hi I’m Anthony, husband of Samantha for 5 years and father of 1 - little Bethany. I am currently working in a youth pastor capacity at Deception Bay Baptist Church just north of Brisbane. I am also currently studying full time, completing a Masters of Ministry. Both of these occupations keep my hands full amongst, assignments, providing support for disadvantaged youth, and raising one of my own. In the past I have worked as an electrical engineer for 3 years as well as 3 years as a software developer.

Whilst growing up our family didn’t have pets but we did spend most of our Christmas holidays at my Uncle and Aunty's sheep farm on the Eyre Peninsula South Australia. We loved helping out with the dogs, cats, chickens, and sheep work. Our family has had a dog for the last five years as well as chickens for three of those years (before moving house).

As an ex landlord I am fully aware of the value of property and how to respect someone else’s property and belongings. I love the outdoors and would be more than happy for an excuse to get outside to do some animal or yard work.

BETHANY
Bethnay is our beautiful daughter, having just turned one at the end of March, she is mastering the skills of walking and talking. Bethnay loves animals, at the moment we almost exclusively read our animal books, and spend a lot of time walking around trumpeting like an elephant. She loves going outside and playing with Aurora, but her favourite's are her Meema's cavoodles as they are the perfect size for her to play tug-of-war with. She has enjoyed all her animal encounters and was fascinated when we visted our friends' property by the horses, cows, and chickens. We spend lots of time outside, either playing with the rocks in the front garden or looking for birds and planes.
Bethany has always been more of a reserved and cautious baby. She does not like straying too far from wherever mum is. This has meant we have not needed to childproof our house, and neither Meema and Poppy's or Grandma and Pa's have been childproofed either.
