Mark, Trish and Henry the Cavoodle………Empty Nesters

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. This is a new adventure for us. The idea came about after speaking with friends who have used this site several times already. Previously our son has always been at
home to look after our family pets, and if he was unable then a good friend would move in for the six weeks or so while we were away. Circumstances change, one is in Canberra, the other up the coast. Our empty nester friends are all as active as us, always heading off on an adventure or other so whilst they have been great looking after Henry, often at short notice while we head off on short jaunts, we feel it is time to organise something with a little more structure. For this reason we will be listing our own home on MindaHome and so fully understand how difficult it must be to entrust both your home and precious pets to people you know so little about. I can only say that if you entrust us we will look after your home and precious pets as we do our own..

We are both retired, own our own home and undertake some volunteer work. We have current police checks. We will be most happy to supply personal references until we build our own profile of testimonials.

We are house proud, clean and tidy non smokers who are fully vaccinated. Mark is also very practical and can turn his hand to most things. We love animals but are limited as to what we can practically accomodate in a garden apartment. Probably just as well as otherwise Henry would be sharing the garden with a few chickens, a duck, horses and a donkey! Speaking of Henry, he is 10 years old, has some arthritis (for which he takes medication) so therefore he can take or leave too much walking nowadays. He has to be the most chilled out dog we have ever met. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Just happy to hang out with his humans. It goes without saying really that Henry would not be allowed on your furniture, or on the bed.

If we are not away on a jaunt ourselves we are happy to take up a last minute booking. We are particularly interested in being on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast for the winter months as we are not too fond of the cold. We travel there frequently and so would love to build a relationship with others like us that like to travel regularly. Pets enjoy the familiarity too I imagine. Other than that particular time frame we are open to exploring more of Australia
