More information about this house sitter

We are a family that has decided to pack up home and travel Australia indefinitely in our caravan. Toni and Liesha, the parents, with Ruby and Layla, the 10yr old twin girls.

Since hitting the road, we’ve been engaged to do 1 housesit for 2 weeks. Also, years ago, Toni and I did a lot of house sitting, but the last 15yrs or so we have been the homeowners, engaging the services of housesitters semi-regularly to look after our home and variety of animals. We’ve owned dogs, cats, chickens and birds ourselves, and I have had a lot of experience with horses growing up and in my early adult life (altho sadly a horsey/rural life was not on the cards for me!). On house sitting gigs in the past, we’ve looked after dogs, cats, small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs), birds, chickens, lizards. These pets all ranged in ages and personalities and special needs - so we are happy to look after animals with any kind of care instructions or special needs, and walk dogs as much as needed. Our own home is a ½ acre block of sub-tropical landscaped gardens and a large swimming pool - so we are also very happy to look after gardens and pools and the like, if that’s what your home includes. But we’ve also lived in apartments and small spaces and are equally happy there too. We are not picky!

One of us is always working remotely, digitally, as we travel, while the other homeschools the kids and plans the travels, so we aren’t travelling fast and are taking our time as we move around. We are all animal lovers too so housesitting will be a nice break from caravan life, as well as being good soul food by giving some love, care and cuddles to your pets while you’re away.

We are non-smokers, quiet, clean and tidy guests and will always treat your space with respect and care, as we would our own home. We are very house proud, and will leave your space clean and tidy - I know how much we appreciated this when as homeowners, we walked back in our house after a holiday, and the sitters had left everything so lovely and clean!

As we are travelling in our caravan, we’d need space to park it - can be on the street, or driveway or something - just needs to be in eyesight. It’s about 7.5m long including the drawbar, and about 2.2m wide. Also we would need access to your wifi for our remote work and homeschool. Hotspotting off the mobiles doesn’t always work very well.

Happy travels
