We are Amrin, Caroline and our 10 year old daughter Zara, whom we homeschool. Zara is incredibly kind and compassionate, with a deep love for animals. She especially looks forward to the chance to play with your pets. Last year we sold our 75 acre lifestyle property and now travel full-time with no fixed agenda or plan. Our aim is to travel until we find a place where we truly feel at home.
We thrive in the peace and quiet of a drama free lifestyle and love spending time in nature. Whether it’s riding bike along rail trails, hiking, fishing or simply camping in the great outdoors, we are always seeking hidden gems along the way.
Over the past 15+ years, we have had over 50 stud-quality Dorper sheep, three Dexter cattle, mini Donkeys, Alpacas, a mix of Staffy, Collie and Kelpie dogs, 150 laying hens, ducks, turkeys and our beloved family cat. We are all passionate animal lovers and deeply miss the close bonds that pets bring.
In terms of work experience, we’ve successfully run a tree removal business in the Northern Rivers of NSW for over 20 years, as well as operating Kookaburra Ridge Farmstay in Stanthorpe QLD. At Kookaburra Ridge, we provided Airbnb accomodation and bush camping through Hipcamp.
As house sitters, we guarantee that your pets will be treated with love and respect. We follow instructions and can problem solve, when needed. We are happy to keep you updated for peace of mind, ensuring your pets and property are in capable hands.
For us, housesitting offers the chance to connect with animals again and a break from camping grounds and caravan parks, especially during peak holiday times. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
