I turned 69 this year, though I'm still not convinced that can be true! Divorced 20 years ago, with 2 much-loved daughters now in their late-20s and making their way in the world.

I love being outdoors, and have worked in the recreation trails and heritage interpretation fields for over 30 years now.

Books are a big part of my life, as is hiking and keeping myself fit and healthy (I do pilates and yoga daily). I've travelled a fair bit over the years, and have lived in different parts of Australia, and in the USA for a couple of periods of 6-9 months.

I grew up on a farm in south-west WA and consequently am comfortable and experienced with most animals. I'm particularly fond of cats and have had several much-loved moggies pass through my life in years gone by. I am also practical and reasonably handy with tools, machinery and equipment.

I'm generally a quiet person and like my own space, but also enjoy good coffee and conversation.

I've owned my own home on a number of occasions, and currently have a small unit in south-east Tasmania. I've also rented and shared houses, and have house-sat and looked after a range of properties for family, friends and friends-of-friends. I am a non-smoker / non-drinker, respectful of others and their possessions, and have clean and tidy habits.
