I’m a self-employed full time bookkeeper, originally from Ireland but have lived in Cooktown, Far North Queensland for 28 years. For the past couple of years, I split my time between Australia and Ireland to help care for my elderly father.

Now that my daughter has flown the coop, I no longer need to return to Cooktown full-time so I'd like to enjoy some mini breaks when I'm back in Australia. I’m planning to rent out my own home on Airbnb while I’m in Ireland, rather than searching for house sitters, which can be tricky. I would like to try this out for a couple of short spells before I return to Ireland again in December and I thought minding some one else's home and pooch would give me the opportunity and a nice getaway at the same time. I work from home so ideal for anyone who's dog likes company all day. I love my morning walk before I start work and then another at the end of my day.

I’ve had house sitters stay in my own home while I’ve been in Ireland, so I appreciate the level of trust involved. I lead a quiet lifestyle and love that I can work full time from home. I love gardening, going on beach and bush walks, yoga, and the gym, and I’m a non-smoker.

I have a beautiful, well-behaved nine-year-old dog named Sheba. She’s an inside dog who loves the company of other dogs and her daily walks.
