About this house sitting position in Beerwah
We have a spacious, open plan home on 1/4 acre in a very quiet part of town with wonderful neighbours.
We are in our late 60s and both still working. Graham is in Education Leadership and Mentoring and I am an Allied Health Care Practitioner.
We are both very house proud, non smokers, non drinkers, non party people who love a quiet life. We are both very attentive to living in a clean and tidy environment and we keep up with the care and maintenance of our home and gardens. So one of our requirements is that our house sitters give us the same courtesy and leave our space just as clean and tidy as they find it. Also, we want to be up front and note that we do not approve of our sitters entertaining their own visitors or guests in our home. Please note also that we only have one spare room with a queen bed in it, so we can only accommodate a couple or a single person as house sitters.
Living with us is our Bella, a 6 yr old female Mini Dachshund. She lives outdoors. She loves her walks and a good tummy rub but she does not like other dogs and can take a while to warm to stranger. She is generally a quiet, well behaved little dog, and a great 'door bell' who alerts us to any one approaching our property. We also have 8 Heritage Hens.
We have extensive Gardens, a large Veggie Patch, a small Fruit Orchid, and lots of Pot Plants (indoor and out), which all need appropriate watering and care.
There is a lot of watering to do, especially when it doesn't rain.
So we are looking for a house sitter who is honest, respectful, reliable, quiet, clean living and is a good and responsive communicator. Someone who is super clean, neat and tidy. Someone who has a passion for and experience with, caring for dogs, chickens, gardens and plants.
We require a meeting with our potential house sitter, preferably face to face, before we choose to go ahead with their application. If a face to face meeting is not possible then we do require a zoom meeting before accepting an application, then a face to face meeting with the successful applicant as near to the day we leave as possible. This is to hand over and to show them in detail, what needs to be done for our home, animals and gardens.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, thank you for considering us and we look forward to hearing from you.
PS
Our driveway can accommodate smaller caravans (ours is 17ft long including draw bar) up to 17ft long, should our house sitter need it. Read more...
