About this house sitting position in Bellbowrie

We live on one hectare in a quiet road in Bellbowrie, a semi rural community on the outskirts of Brisbane. We are looking for a mature couple who would spend a fair bit of time at home and not leave our dog alone for long periods.

Our house is easily maintained. The master bedroom and en-suite are on the first floor, all other rooms (including 2 bedrooms and a bathroom) are on ground level. There’s no ramp access.

The garden is low maintenance with automatic watering system where necessary, though the veggie beds and a few garden beds require some extra care.

There is salt water pool with robot that will need emptying from time to time, but otherwise pretty low maintenance.

Plenty of space outdoors to park a caravan.

There’s a dogs park nearby, next to a heated council pool with an indoor gym, and a variety of sporting facilities open to the public (tennis, cricket pitch, soccer field, skate park, gyms) within walking distance.

There is a small shopping hub about 1 km away, with a grocer, a medical centre (GP, physio, vet, lab, dentist and chemist) a pub, bottle shop, florist, coffee shop, an Indian restaurant and 2 pizzas take aways. Up the hill there is another shopping hub, with similar shops, plus a Coles , baker and butcher (and another pizza take away!)

Plenty of bush walks nearby too, and a direct bus every 15 mins from the end of our road to the Brisbane cultural precinct and Indooroopilly shopping centre with cinemas.

Our labradoodle Pépite is young and active . She needs to exercise/walk at least 45-60 minutes twice a day, at the dogs park where she can interact with other dogs or on trail hikes. She is also happy anytime to chase a ball thrown in the yard and is still learning to bring it back (she trained us well).

Pépite is a cuddly, clever and sensitive girl, a “people dog” who will lay under the table when you eat, or plot around whenever you are outside . She isn’t left alone for extended periods and thrives on pats and play.
She has lots of Labrador features: food driven, enjoying dips and fetching balls.
She is feed twice a day. She complies with basic commands and waits for the ok before gulping her meals in seconds…

The second job will be to look after the garden. While it is an open, low maintenance garden overall, the veggie beds will be grateful to attention.
There is a salt water pool. It’s covered in winter but it needs monitoring when operating.
