Our home is a unique stone house, built from rock sourced on the property, with vaulted ceilings and large windows that frame sweeping views of the Chiltern–Mt Pilot National Park and surrounding farmland. Set on 66 acres, the land is shared with kangaroos, wombats, and abundant birdlife. We have no livestock to maintain.

The house is fully solar-powered (12kW panels, 16kW batteries, solar hot water, rainwater tanks, and wood heating) with grid backup — we haven’t had a power outage in over 10 years. It has two bedrooms, a study, kitchen, dining, lounge, bathroom, and laundry. Internet is fixed wireless NBN, averaging around 90 Mbps.

We are located on a gravel road (2WD accessible), 30 minutes from Wangaratta, close to Beechworth, Yackandandah, and the King Valley/Rutherglen wine regions. The snowfields are also within reach, and there are excellent mountain bike and gravel riding tracks straight from the front gate. Melbourne is 3 hours away, Sydney 7 hours.

We’re a retired, active couple who love hiking, riding, camping, travelling, and spending time with our grandchildren. The property is monitored by security cameras (mainly for sheds), which can be turned off if they make you uncomfortable.
