Are you looking for a peaceful escape to the countryside for a few months?
We’re seeking a responsible, mature house sitter to live-in and care for our property and animals while we’re away. This is an unpaid position in exchange for free accommodation in a clean, well-appointed home.

Location:
📍 Mena Creek area, QLD

Dates:
🗓 From June 28 to late September (exact end date TBD)


Responsibilities:

• Daily care and occasion feeding of one horse

• Feeding and caring for a flock of chickens - eating the eggs!

• Regular mowing with a ride-on mower (large areas)

• General upkeep of the property (basic garden care, keeping the house tidy)

• Keeping an eye on water trough, fencing, and general property security

Requirements:

• Must be confident and experienced with horses (even though it’s just one, care is daily and important!)

• Handy with ride-on mower and basic property requirements

• No families or groups – this is suited for an individual or a quiet couple

• Absolutely no parties — we are looking for someone who enjoys a peaceful rural setting

• Must have your own transport (property is rural and not within walking distance of shops etc.)

• Non-smoker inside
