About this house sitting position in Canina (Gympie)

We live on five lovely & peaceful acres , about ten minutes
outside of Gympie, Queensland, at the very northern end of the Sunshine Coast. Our house is a modern four bedroom two bathroom air conditioned single level brick home on 5 acres. We don't have cats or dogs - just 9 gorgeous female alpacas (including a newborn cria just 6 months old) and three hens . We are looking for house sitters to feed our alpaca girls twice a day and feed Spec, Gertie and Hattie, (the hens), water pot plants and the small garden around the house and mow a small area of lawn around the house with our self-propelled mower.
There are many many places to visit in and around the area if you like keeping busy, or just relax and enjoy the surroundings . Reading a book whilst sitting with the alpacas in the paddock is a great way to relax.
We are just one hour drive to Noosa and the rest of Sunshine Coast, thirty minutes to Tin Can Bay and forty -five minutes to Rainbow Beach. There are also many walks to take and mountains to climb in the region and a local mountain bike track. There is also a train to Brisbane twice a day (just 50c each way at the moment). Plenty of space to park a caravan. Sorry - but pets not allowed. We prefer a couple (or 2 friends) rather than a single sitter for safety and security reasons. Read more...

“Sharon is a great host. All the information you need is clearly written down. Sharon took the time to introduce me to the Alpacas and show me what is required to care for them. I received really good communication and a phone number for back up if needed. I didn't need as the instructions were perfect. It was a comfortable stay and the outlook relaxing. Watching the Alpacas was nice too. I recommend Sharon's housesits to others. ”

“Our month looking after the alpacas and Dale and Sharon’s house was great. Feeding the alpacas was an enjoyable experience and, having only ever seen them before in paddocks whilst driving through the countryside, it was good to be more closely involved with them and get to know what delightful creatures they are - each with their own unique personality. Dale and Sharon’s house was a good base for day trips as well as being very comfortable and relaxing during evenings and on days when we didn’t go out. What we were required to do with the alpacas and around the house was clearly explained to us on arrival and, in the end, we left with lots of good memories of the time we spent there and are very thankful to Dale and Sharon for trusting us with their alpacas and home for that time. ”
