About this house sitting position in Chapman

We live 12 km from the Canberra city centre where major tourist attractions are in abundance and very close to each other, we're only minutes to the Canberra hospital, the National Arboretum, National Zoo and Aquarium, two major shopping centres and just walking distance to our local shops.
Our spacious spotless non smoking house is tri level (this means stairs ...made from tree logs) so not suitable for the less mobile. Inverter Aircon/heater, lock up garage. Wifi, minimum maintenance small garden to name a few of the home comforts for you to enjoy.
We own an adorable 13 yo Welsh Terrier called "Kipper". He has a beautiful temperament, loves cuddles, walks, and games. He is vision impaired in both eyes ( cataracts) but knows his way around the house very well but needs supervision with stairs (which we generally block off indoors).
He is an indoor pooch so please don't apply if you plan to turf him outdoors 24/7 the moment you arrive! He is well disciplined and loves visitors. He sleeps most of the day now.

All we ask of our house sitter is to give Kipper a daily walk on lead, plenty of love and attention, check for mail, hand water the odd plant but most of all enjoy him and your time in Canberra.

Our house is not set up to cater for children sorry. Also Kipper has not been socialised with other dogs, and dislikes cats immensely so cannot accept minders with own pets unfortunately .

Our preferred house sitters are singles/couples experienced with dogs who are mature aged, semi/retired who can be home during much of the day as Kipper is used to having regular company . Especially suited to those building/renovating their own home and needing somewhere to stay in the meantime, or plan to visit family in Cbr to but prefer own place.
