About this house sitting position in Clunes
A welcoming home and much-loved animals in charming Clunes
Enjoy a peaceful stay in our spacious home, set on an acre with a seasonal winter creek, just an easy ten-minute flat walk from the heart of friendly Clunes.
Our home has four bedrooms, two with ensuites, plus a central bathroom. There’s an open-plan kitchen and living area, a comfortable lounge and a separate dining room. All rooms have heating and cooling, and the wood fire in the main lounge makes winter evenings especially cosy.
We have a three-car garage/workshop and a generous three-bay carport with room for a caravan or boat. Security cameras are located at the front and rear of the property.
Clunes has plenty of small-town charm, with an IGA, butcher, pharmacy, post office, two cafés, a library, museum and The National—or “the Nash”—pub. The Top Shop, just outside the town center, is a favorite for takeaway. There’s plenty of parking if you prefer to drive, along with a doctors’ surgery and community health service.
The railway station is approximately 1.5 kilometers away, with services towards Maryborough and Ballarat, and onward connections to Melbourne.
Meet the animals who make our house a home
We’re looking for caring, patient house sitters who enjoy animals and are comfortable giving daily medication.
Belle, our five-year-old Border Collie, can sometimes be anxious and reactive. She takes medication each morning and would suit someone confident with dogs who can offer a calm, reassuring approach.
Boris, our much-loved 19-year-old senior cat, is deaf and occasionally needs a little reminder of where his food is! He needs medication applied inside his ears twice a day.
Violet, our seven-year-old hen, is our last remaining chicken. She loves her food and especially looks forward to her afternoon treats.
Our five pet miniature goats are Cleo and Maddie, both seven, and Frankie, Hari and Jac, all 18 months old. They’re full of character and easy to manage—especially when you have a few raisins in your pocket!
If a comfortable country home, a friendly town and the company of some much-loved animals sound like your kind of stay, we’d love to hear from you.
