About this house sitting position in Greendale

Our home is located approx 1 hour west of Melbourne in the beautiful Victorian central highlands. Situated on 2 1/2 acres and overlooking the Greendale valley, our home can be your home away from home.

The main reason for the house sit is to feed and care for our two animals - our lovely chocolate lab named Holly and tortishell cat named Razzl. Holly loves walks and cuddles and Razzl just likes to hang out (and cuddle if you are lucky). We also have some indoor and outdoor plants that would need watering every few days.

Greendale is a small town with only the Greendale Country Pub with a small general store. Our closest town is Ballan (15 min drive) which has all the necessities including a supermarket and bottle shop, butcher, cafes and a few takeaways and restaurants.

Our home is on a hill with a steep driveway and is multi-level with a few flights of stairs, so someone who is reasonably fit and able to go up and down stairs would be more suited. During winter our main source of heating is a wood fire, so you will need to be able to carry wood from the garage on the upper level down to the house.

The V/Line train (Ballan or Bacchus Marsh stations) and freeway are nearby for easy access into Melbourne or Ballarat. We also live near the lovely country towns of Trentham and Daylesford. We have regular visits from native Australian wildlife such as kangaroos, cockatoos and kookaburras.
