About this house sitting position in Highland Park

We are looking for a reliable, mature and experienced house sitter or couple to look after our home and property in Highland Park while we are away travelling.
This is a seven week plus live in house sitting opportunity, covering Christmas and New Year.
Our home is situated on a 1.7-acre property in Highland Park, offering privacy and plenty of space while still being conveniently located to shops, restaurants and the wider Gold Coast.
The property is large enough to park a caravan on the lawn.
We are looking for someone who will genuinely enjoy staying in the home and take pride in looking after it as though it were their own.
Responsibilities will include
• Living at the property throughout the house-sitting period
• Keeping the house secure and well cared for
• Collecting mail and putting bins out when required
• Watering plants as necessary
• Keeping an eye on the pool and notifying us of any problems
• Contacting us if any significant issues arise
• Following our straightforward instructions regarding the house security and equipment
We will provide a comprehensive handover before we leave and will remain readily contactable throughout our trip
Ideally, we’d like a mature, trustworthy and conscientious person or couple with previous housesitting experience.
You should:
• Have excellent references
• Be non-smokers
• Treat our home and belongings with care and respect
• Be happy to be present at the property most nights
• Not hold parties or events at the property,
• Not have additional overnight guests without prior agreement
