Our fully renovated home sits on 53 pristine acres, offering spectacular views across the surrounding countryside, beautiful established gardens and an incredible sense of peace and privacy. It's a wonderful place to relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of country living.

The house offers everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Inside, you'll find a fantastic entertainment setup, including an 85-inch television and home theatre system.

Outside, there's a spacious entertaining deck complete with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, BBQ, pizza oven and comfortable lounge area. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely meal, relax with a glass of wine or simply take in the stunning countryside views.

Despite our peaceful rural setting, we're conveniently located just 10 minutes from the charming township of Lilydale, which has all the essential shops, services and amenities. Launceston is only 25 minutes away, offering excellent shopping, restaurants, cafés and everything else you might need.

There's plenty of parking on the property, and we can also offer the use of a car for short local trips by arrangement.

Explore Tasmania's Beautiful Wine Country

We're fortunate to live in the heart of Northern Tasmania's renowned Tamar Valley and Pipers River wine region, surrounded by some of Australia's finest cool-climate vineyards.

Some of Tasmania's best-known wineries are within easy reach, including Pipers Brook, Jansz, Dalrymple, Clover Hill, Delamere, Sinapius and Providence Vineyard.

The region is particularly famous for its exceptional sparkling wines, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with beautiful cellar doors, vineyard restaurants and wonderful local produce to discover.

Whether you're a wine enthusiast or simply enjoy exploring beautiful countryside, this is an ideal location to experience the very best of Northern Tasmania.

Who You'll Be Looking After

The most important members of our household are our two adorable five-year-old pugs, a brother and sister who are very much our children!

They're full of personality, affection and charm, and are an enormous part of our lives. Unfortunately, they can't join us on our holiday, so we're hoping to find someone who will love and care for them just as we do.

The good news is that they're quite happy being left alone during the day, giving you plenty of opportunity to explore the region, visit wineries or enjoy a day out in Launceston.

Their daily routine is fairly straightforward. In the morning, they each have a small bowl of kibble, and their main meal is around 6 pm. They're rather spoilt when it comes to food and enjoy specially prepared meals, which we keep frozen and ready to serve.

Our little boy has a particularly enthusiastic relationship with food and will happily try to convince you that he's on the brink of starvation, regardless of how recently he's eaten! Don't be fooled by his grumbling. We do need to keep an eye on his portions, despite his very persuasive protests.

We also have chickens and guinea fowl that simply need feeding each day. In return, you'll have a lovely supply of fresh eggs to enjoy throughout your stay.

Beyond these simple daily routines, there's very little else you'll need to worry about.

Why This House Sit Is So Important to Us

This will be our first proper holiday in many years, so finding the right house sitters means a great deal to us.

Our two pugs really are our children, and we want to be able to enjoy our time away knowing they're happy, safe and receiving plenty of love and attention. Equally, we want to know our home and property are being treated with care.

We're looking for responsible, reliable people who genuinely love animals and will treat our home with the same respect they would their own.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful, comfortable home in a truly special part of Tasmania.

Your Own Little Slice of Tasmanian Paradise

We think our home offers something rather special: the opportunity to experience peaceful country living in a beautiful, private setting, while enjoying all the comforts of a modern home.

Spend your days exploring the local wineries, discovering the many attractions of Northern Tasmania, relaxing in the gardens or simply soaking up the serenity.

And at the end of the day, you can return to a beautiful home, enjoy a meal on the deck, watch a movie on the big screen and share the company of two very affectionate little pugs.

If you're an animal lover who appreciates beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet, fresh country eggs and the occasional glass of excellent Tasmanian wine, we'd love to hear from you.

We're hoping to find someone who will enjoy staying here as much as we enjoy calling it home.
