About this house sitting position in Lavington

Small three bedroom older home with a large garden front and back.

We rent and have asked the owners to give permission for us to have a house minder- which they have.

Keeping it clean and tidy for this reason is imperative.

Watering the garden beds and lawns is important please- I can arrange a mowing service to mow the front yard. If the back yard needs a quick run over we have an old mower for this.

The bedrooms are really small but comfortable. The childrens rooms are cluttered.

There is a carport with roller door but we are using it for storage so parking would be in the driveway.

There is one toilet and a separate bathroom- no bath though sorry only a shower.

There is a dishwasher in the kitchen.

There are stairs at all entrances so a minder who can manage stairs would be needed please.

We are quiet in a quiet and peaceful area so no big parties etc would be a must for our neighbours please.

We have a very old cat who frequents inside and outside and is fed twice a day . He is partially blind but quite independent and does not need any regular medication. He rarely uses the litter tray if let in and out but if he does this would need cleaning please and we will make sure there are supplies.

We have two large dogs- so someone who is confident with large dogs would be best. We have a very old american staffyxEnglish staffy who has skin allergies but is well managed with injections which we will have completed just prior to leaving so that she is covered for while we are away. She is a love bug who loves a pat and sit with outside if you can please. She thinks she is a tiny dog so if she jumps and tries to sit in your lap its OK to say no and genlty push her down whilst saying -"down". This should only take once or twice for her to know her limits.

We have a long haired border collie who is still quite active but if walking him is too overwhelming spending time each day in the larger back yard throwing the ball for him is sufficient for his exercise and interaction he craves. We can leave treats for some sit/stand/spin training if you like but not essential it's mostly a little time and pats/attention that are needed.

The dogs have been escape artists in the past so keeping them in the backyard is OK as it is nice and secure for them. The staffy is only OK with her border collie brother due to her past so can not go to a dog park or be around unrestrained dogs.

We will make sure the dogs are washed and brushed before we leave and unless anything major happens shouldn't need a groom while we are away.

The dogs both need feeding in the morning with wet and dry grain free dog food which we make sure there is plenty of stored here. All treats and food needs to be grain free so we will make sure there are plenty supplied.

We will also have some bones in the freezer for once a week and enough dental sticks for regular treats in the evening. Read more...
