HOME AWAY FROM HOME - COTTAGE NEAR THE BEACH

We are looking for a clean, responsible, animal loving person or couple.

We have 4 cherished chickens and Banjo our much loved Kelpie.

2 bedroom cottage on a picturesque 3 acres close to pristine beaches, loads of hiking, wineries and 30 minutes from Hobart. We are close to some great coffee options and cafes, 10 minutes drive to supermarkets. Perfect for exploring some of the famous south east of Tassie.

We are looking for someone/ couple who can care for Banjo and our home whilst enjoying our beautiful piece of paradise.

Banjo has a lot of energy so requires someone who will entertain him with long walks, playing frisbee/ ball with him and keeping him company. He loves the beach (5 min drive)!

Banjo is very social, curious and energetic. He can be left home alone for a few hours but also loves joining you on drives/ adventures (if you choose to). He is a softie and enjoys snuggling up and lazing in the house too.

Duties include:
* Exercising Banjo (for at least an hour a day) and feeding him.
* The chickens are mostly self sufficient so just need checking & topping up their feed/ water (every 2 days) & replacing their straw (weekly).
* Cleaning the cottage at the end of your stay.
Bonus points if you are happy to spend a little time in the garden watering and caring for our plants but we have this pretty much automated.

The 2 bedroom cottage is completely self contained, with bathroom, 2 queen beds, kitchen facilities etc.

Help yourself to our fresh chicken eggs and veggies from the garden.

We are looking for someone/ couple who can house/pet sit for approximately 8
days being Tues 20th May 2025 (hand over day) through to Tues 27th May 2025. We may be able to accommodate a couple of days either side if you require - and will confirm this asap with the selected applicant.

We would consider sitters who have a dog/s that are social and happy to play with Banjo.

We may consider a family (although depending on ages, even though we have young children of our own Banjo may sometimes still jump when he is excited).

This would be best suited to an active individual/ couple that enjoy the beach, walking and spending time outdoors. Or someone who works from home and happy to have a furry friend for company.

Your own car is essential (note: this would include on outings with Banjo (beach etc) - we can supply towels etc to ensure it stays clean).

Previous references preferable and Non- smoker.
