About this house sitting position in Little Mountain

Hi,

Our names are Thor and Ruby, and we live on, in our humble opinion, one of the best parts of the Sunny Coast, Caloundra.

In April 2025, we are planning a family trip to Japan and are looking for a responsible sitter (or couple) to look after our house and our three cats. We live in an open plan, modern 4 bedroom home backing a little lake (open view from the deck) with plenty of wildlife.

We have three rescue cats that live strictly inside, but have a lovely big cat run outside to look at bugs and have a climb/play. We have used excellent sitters before through this site, and are looking for someone to take care of our cats and house with as much love as they have done. ?

What does Caloundra have to offer?
- plenty of café's, restaurants and markets
- 7 beaches (26 degrees swimming water) with plenty of walkways and boardwalks to walk or bike up and down the coast
- our gorgeous hinterland with Bush walks, rainforest walks and villages like Maleny
- lovely golf course, active pickleball community, basically sports galore

What do we have to offer?
- A big air conditioned house with plenty of gadgets for cooking, cleaning and relaxing
- a dining deck with beautiful sunset views over the lake
- walkways around the lakes of little mountain
- 10 minute drive from the nearest beach, 5 minutes from shops
- a low maintenance succulent garden
- 3 adorable cats that have been sleep trained (they sleep in their own bathroom - which is designed to be their palace), so no waking up at night. One is a ginger ninja that has the funniest personality. Laughs guaranteed.
Enough food and easy clean litter provided of course.
- extra bed in the office in case your partner snores. We also have a drum kit, guitar and piano in there, feel free to use or learn a new instrument.
- back up veterinarian (Ruby is a vet) in case of doubt of medical needs for the cats
- main bedroom: king size bed with adjustable base with television and ensuite bathroom.
- Netflix and prime
- we will leave you a very clean house for your first day and of course gratitude

What do we expect from you?
- Ideally we are looking for a single reliable person or couple who is as house proud as we are. Several references and police check preferred. Reliability once booked is extremely important to us.
- People that love and appreciate cats and treat them like their own. Someone that doesn't hesitate to contact us if there are any problems with the cats (or house for that matter), and feed and care for our cats only as advised and nothing extra (or less :-)).
- As we will leave the house clean, we expect you to leave it clean for us as well when we return from our holiday
- To enjoy our house, the Sunny Coast and have a great time!
- We LOVE daily updates over whatsapp ?
- Just a few plants in the house to water weekly. Maybe the succulent garden could use a really good soak twice during the time we are away. Grass only needs a trim if it gets out of hand.
