About this house sitting position in Macleay Island

A 3 bedroom, high set modern Queenslander on Macleay Island with views from the balcony overlooking Dalpura boat ramp, beach and seaward to Coochimudlo Is; a nice quiet, almost crime free location. We have 2 dogs (rescue dogs from Fiji); Wilbur, 12 and Tilly, 8 are totally inseparable and have the run of the house and garden, except at night when they sleep inside the house. They are both very loving, although Tilly is fairly timid and "a real girl" at times! She doesn't like thunder and lightening or heavy rain but such weather doesn't bother Wilbur. Tilly is usually very playful whereas Wilbur can be a bit of an "old man" at times despite Tilly's efforts to get him to play. They will need to be walked at least once a day and fed morning (main meal) and evening. (All the food will be prepared in advance, so it only has to be measured and dished out). A car will also be available for your use. The local supermarkets (2 off) are small but adequate and there are a pharmacy and several doctors available if required. Access to the island is by a frequent ferry service and the fare is only $0.50 to and from Redland Bay Marina. There is also a vehicle ferry should you wish to bring your own vehicle - but at approx. $160 return! Minimal gardening involves mainly the watering of pot plants and occasional watering of flower beds if there is no rain. Read more...
