About this house sitting position in Maryborough

'The Treehouse' is in a very quiet part of this heritage town with its old buildings and interesting history. The original builder of this house was a wood carver who is rumoured to have carved timber eggs, one of which he presented to Queen Elizabeth II. He built an impressive staircase that welcomes you when you arrive.
Walking distance to golf (15mins) and a beautiful park with lagoon (5mins), the perfect place for an early morning, late afternoon walk or even a picnic bbq, with many bird species and turtles. 5 minutes drive to shops, cafes, supermarkets and walking distance to your choice of 2 taverns. Aldi is a 15 minute walk away.
Surrounded by trees, bird lovers will enjoy waking to the songs of many birds, or at sunset sitting out on the back porch to watch or photograph birds flying over as they find their place to settle at the lagoon for the night, with some settling in the backyard.
The neighbours are quiet and you are surrounded by beautiful heritage homes and well loved 'Queenslander' homes.
There is a mineral salt pool for a few laps or a nice dip, airconditioning in the living area and main bedroom, fans throughout and large casement windows to catch the cool breezes at night.
There is a garage with direct entry inside and internet/wifi and Prime is included.
The house is a 30 minute drive to Hervey Bay with it's beaches, restaurants and almost any shop you need. We are an hour to Rainbow Beach or TinCan Bay where you can feed dolphins, K'gari (Fraser Island) or Bundaberg and Lady Musgrave Island or an easy 2.5hrs to the Sunshine Coast.
Maryborough has several cafes, very interesting museums, an art gallery and there are often excellent shows at the Brolga Theatre here including ballet, music, comedy as well as musical theatre etc.
I hear the fishing is good and mud crabs are a big thing here. You can walk to the river for a fish in 10 minutes.

Zoe is our labrador who is very quiet and very friendly. She is getting a bit old and sore so doesn't need to be walked too much, just 15-20mins is enough a few days of the week (she does LOVE the beach). She is a lovely girl who will probably lay down on your feet and just sleep most of the time, she never barks and doesn't jump up.
Our hand raised budgie Melody is great company, she talks happily and appreciates a green spinach or celery leaf, piece of cucumber or parsley or similiar and a good conversation every day. She loves a little bath in her cage.
Prefer a retired couple or single person with references and who can manage some raking, mowing, watering potplants and pool cleaning but these things are negotiable for the right person. You must love pets and be trustworthy.
If you would like to explore the Fraser Coast or just enjoy some Qld sun in the beautiful autumn season, please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you :-)
