INTRODUCTION TO SUSHI: PERSONALITY & NEEDS

I am seeking a mature catlover willing to care for an old female short-hair cat named Sushi while I travel overseas from 17 July to 20 August 2025.

Sushi needs to be inside while her carer is out and at night. She mostly prefers being indoors, though occasionally wanders outdoors during the day while someone is home; she doesn't go far and usually returns within 30 minutes.

Sushi is friendly and accepts humans after discerning their love of cats. She often likes to sleep with you on cooler nights; I hope you will be amenable to this possibility. She enjoys her fur combed as a daily massage.

Sushi is fed with sachets in boxes from supermarkets, dry biscuits and sometimes mince heated lukewarm.
Her 2 water bowls need topping up as required.
The kitty litter needs emptying and refilling every 2 days. Any deposits need to be removed and flushed down the toilet before she will use the litter again.


HOUSE-SITTER PREFERENCES

The ideal house-sitter is a mature person at home for at least part of the day and always at night. Going out for part-time work, domestic and social purposes is reasonable.


GENERAL TASKS

You may ask: "What other responsibilities will I have?"
In summary, just general household tasks:
- maintaining cleanliness and hygiene
- collecting mail
- watering gardens and grass on the property
- taking out rubbish and recycling bins for council pick-up once a week, and
- security (locking up when leaving the house).

Sydney Northern Beaches is popular for residents and tourists in terms of:

- cinemas
- shopping plazas
- creative arts, and
- accommodation.
Narrabeen is accessed by a frequent bus service taking approximately 1 hour from the city; this is preferable to driving which can be stressful especially during peak periods.
