About this house sitting position in Petrie terrace

Hi. We have an 18 month old border collie cross (Maggie) and a two year old indoor only cat (Moose) and are looking for house sitting from 17/12 to 5/2
Animals get along well.

House is an older, comfy but not newly renovated 3 br 2bath traditional workers cottage (single level living, under house almost full height). Big deck overlooking fairly large(for inner city) back yard. Ducted air con. Dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, piano, exercise bike, washing machine and dryer. Fridge has water and ice maker. Electric BBQ on the deck.

1.5 km walk to city, a bit further to Southbank, 200m from Suncorp stadium and bus stop. Easy walking distance to The Barracks centre and Caxton st(Movie theatre, Coles, pharmacy, restaurants and bars +++). Large back yard with big deck overlooking it.

Two on street parking permits available, one off street spot also. We will have one car stored in the garage and one down the side of the house while away. Street can be very busy and parking pressured if there’s something on at Suncorp Stadium. We’ve never had an issue with safety of vehicles left on-street or at the house.

High speed internet, lots of streaming services. Mowing service comes regularly so only thing needed in yard is collecting dog bombs and checking the irrigation on pots is working. Pot plants on deck need watering also.

One bedroom (Queen) with en-suite available for use. A second bedroom could be made available if needed-would have to clear out a teenager’s room but could be done. Living room furniture a little cat-affected.

Maggie is ball obsessed and loves to run up and down the stairs from the deck retrieving it when you sit out there having coffee, etc. She loves walks (very good on leash), and there is an off leash dog park 400 m away. She is also very happy to sleep a lot. She sleeps indoors, and spends a lot of her day inside, though is fine to leave outside all day if you’re out. She likes daily walks but if that’s not possible is happy with the ball off the deck game for a while each day.

Moose is extremely lazy but does pine for the great outdoors where she can never venture, so diligence in door closing is essential. There is an automatic feeder for her morning feeds, can be programmed for evening as well if not home.

House is not flash but comfy, quite small. Renovation under the house in progress so it’s a bit messy where the slab is partly removed.

My family is nearby if needed for assistance while we are away.
