About this house sitting position in Toorak Gardens

Hi there,

We are looking for someone to look after our home and our two dogs. We live in a beautiful location, very central to everything. Walking distance to Burnside Village, CBD and local shopping, restaurants, library and parks.

About our needs. We have two girls, an 8 year old Tenterfield Terrier and a 6 year old Cavoodle. We both work from home so our dogs are used to having company. We prefer someone who is retired or similar and active. If you are working in a job where they would be alone all day, it would not work for us.

Our home is very lovely. It is only 10 years old, with a great courtyard for entertaining, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and an internal lift. It is very easy to manage. We have the usual pay tv channels., Wi-fi, reverse ducted heating and cooling, and a beautiful gourmet Miele kitchen.

Our dogs are well behaved and friendly. They are used to having two walks a day. They sleep inside, downstairs, (Bedrooms are upstairs) but are housetrained and we have a doggy door. We have stairs and also a lift.

We would prefer someone who is currently living in South Australia, but we can be flexible on that. Most importantly, we need someone who loves dogs and knows how to manage them. We think it would be very attractive to someone who wants to be in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs with access to everywhere and fantastic bus links. Our previous housesitters have loved being here.

Of course, you will be clean and tidy and look after our home too.

References are essential. Sorry but no children or other dogs.

This will NOT suit someone who is working outside of the home, as our dogs are used to having someone around for during the day and want the company. They cannot be left alone for very long periods but as long as they have their walks they are pretty happy to lay around and are no trouble at all.

The most important thing for us, is they are walked as expressed above.

I am advertising this housesit quite early for those individuals who need to plan ahead. We have had housesitters before and it's been a really good experience for us and them.
