About this house sitting position in Williamstown

Steve and I will be travelling for seven weeks May 24th-July 5th and are hoping that there are the perfect house sitters out there just waiting for this add!!
We have eight acres just outside Williamstown on the southern edge of the Barossa. We are located an hour from the Adelaide CBD, 15 mins from our nearest service centre Gawler and 2 minutes from Williamstown. The Barossa is also at the doorstep – we can be in Lyndoch in 10, Tanunda in 20 and Nuriootpa in 30. The Adelaide Hills are also in easy reach – we can be in Birdwood within 20 minutes. Finally we are less than an hour from the Murray. There are a number of national parks and reserves in the area too.
The House was built with the aim of environmental sustainability nearly 30 years ago. It is an unusual design, the walls being below ground on the northern and western sides. Having said that it is a very light and airy house – quiet and private.
We do not run any stock so there is little heavy work required. We have a small flock of chickens that need care and a garden (veggie and ornamental garden) although by that time of year we will have put the summer garden to bed and the ornamentals will look after themselves. Finally we have a much loved, seven year old Hungarian Viszla. She is a very affectionate dog who need regular exercise and play. We usually walk and play out in our paddocks two or three times a day. Apart from that we have some fabulous birdlife and the occasional visiting Kangaroo and, if your very lucky, the odd Koala spotting!
