Hi!

We’re Sam and Jes. We’re a young couple (27 & 30) ready for a new phase of life in which a house-sit might provide a perfect base. Here’s a bit about us:

We’re friendly, responsible and experienced house sitters. We’ve been together for 6 years. During that time we have travelled, studied, and lived in the city, bush and on the coast. We currently reside in Robertson, NSW. Jes was born in the Philippines, grew up in Orange, NSW and is now a silversmith - running the jewellery label Jika, where she designs and hand makes sterling silver jewellery using 100% recycled materials. Sam grew up in Armidale, and is now a writer and an actor - but due to the nature of this work - is also a skilled barista. We are both keen gardeners and animal lovers, who love to read and be outdoors. We’re introverted by nature, and enjoy living in quiet areas, close to National Parks.

We’re interested in a house-sitting situation for a number of reasons: We’ve been working very hard for the 6 years we’ve been together. First, in order to support Sam as he completed his study, and later, to do the same for Jes. The flexibility a house-sit provides would allow Sam to pursue post-gradate study, without the intense financial pressure that usually ensues. It would also mean Jes could expand her business and creative practice. it would also allow us to live in a beautiful part of the world, and to enjoy a new experience. and lower our cost of living - allowing a more peaceful and less frantic life than that of the average renter.

We’d love the opportunity to house-sit your home, and think we’d be well suited to the job.
