More information about this house sitter

We are a retired Air Force Engineering Officer and Public Servant couple living in Canberra who have been married for 35 years. We have had several homesits with Mindahome, reviews are attached.

Over the last five years we have visited France on numerous occasions to house sit our friend’s 11th century, six- storey tower and pets George and Harriet on approximately five acres of magnificent gardens. We tend the lawns and gardens, using the ride on mower and other powered tools and do odd jobs at this property in addition to minding the dogs.

We have also minded Buster an elderly Jack Russell for Tracy in Jindabyne, unfortunately Buster has now gone to doggie heaven. I have attached a referee letter from Tracy to our photo album.

We are also the occasional pet sitter for our daughters 2 border collies, 1 lounge cat and several chooks.

Before moving to Canberra permanently, we rented in Jindabyne where we pursued our love of mountains and skiing.

We have owned and renovated five houses to live in and to rent out, so we understand what owning a house means for the owner. Doing odd jobs around a house is a pleasure we both enjoy and we are also competent swimming pool caretakers.

Gardening is also a passion that we both love and pets have been an important part of our lives. Sadly, last year we lost our long time dogs of 16 and 12 years and we miss them dearly, in particular taking them for a walk.

Debra has also owned and ridden horses as well as raising chooks and cattle, so has no fear of domestic animals or livestock.
