Hello and thank you for reading our profile.

We are a British/Australian couple in our late forties, non-smoking, non-drinking, quiet, reliable and trustworthy. I’m originally from Wales and Faye is from the Newcastle area. We’ve been married for almost nine years, and our little boy Sam has just turned four.

We returned to the Lake Macquarie area two years ago after working for many years in the UK to spend time with elderly relatives. I’m a permanent resident, and on a long-term sabbatical from my job as a Commissioning Editor in the Welsh Government.

We’re a family of animal lovers, and adore looking after them. Back in 2010 we took in two feral cats in Wales, and had them for six years before rehoming them prior to moving to Australia. I've done numerous dog sits back in the UK and here in Australia, looking after pets for family and friends. We walk every day, and are happy to take your pets as far as they want to go. Sam also loves playing with and engaging with animals, so they’ll always have as much love and attention as they could possibly want.

If we’re looking after your home and pets, I would usually be at home through the day as I’m working on an online business, mainly writing and editing images. So if your pets need me, I’m there. Sam is at pre-school three days a week, and is out with Faye at playgroups the other two days. We would also be at home almost every night as we rarely get the chance to go out with a four-year-old.

We treat other people’s homes, property and belongings with the utmost respect. We fully understand the need for someone trustworthy, and have been in the same position, having had people in to look after our cats while we were away in Australia for five weeks each year. We can supply good references, including one from friends for whom we dog- and house-sit in Merewether, additional character references and police and criminal record checks. We’re more than happy to meet up face-to-face as we’re in the area.

Initially we’re looking at sits in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie area until late 2018, and will be open to stays further afield after that time.
