More information about this house sitter

I am 69, and my husband Terry, is 71. We have been retired for 5 years. We emigrated to Australia from England in 1974, bringing with us a two year old son. We settled in Adelaide, and bought our first house in Salisbury East where we lived for 18 years. We then moved to One Tree Hill where we have been for the last 25 years.
Terry is a mechanic by trade, and six months after our arrival, we took on a service station franchise at Newton. We stayed there for 12 years, but then took on another site at Salisbury Park.
We have two sons - Michael, the eldest lives in Adelaide, and has two children, Remy 9, and Sabine, 6. Darren lives in Brisbane with his family, and have two boys, Zac 11, and Jesse 9.
We have a caravan, and since retiring have travelled around Australia, but we have now sold our home at One Tree Hill, and will be building a smaller house at Windsor Gardens, making us 'homeless' at present. We are currently minding our friends' house for 2 months whilst they are overseas, and prior to that we were in Brisbane looking after Darren's two dogs. Gus is an 18 month old Beagle, and tiny Winston is a Maltese Shitzu, 13years old. We looked after Winston for 3 years while Darren and his family were overseas in Jakarta.
We have also minded Michael's dog, a Cavoodle, from time to time, while they've been on holiday. During our time at the service station, we had two German Shepherds, and a stray terrier, that wandered onto the driveway one Friday night. We took him home, and kept him, as we were unable to trace his owner, despite our efforts. We named him Benji, and he was a truly loyal and obedient dog. So we have had or minded several dogs over the years.
We are both fit, and are honest and reliable. We value people's properties and possessions, and you can be assured that we would be happy to look after your home and care for your pets while you are away. Read more...
