Hello! We are Riikka & Kevin, a house and pet sitting EXPERIENCED couple traveling Australia. We enjoy using our capabilities in exchange for accommodation.

Riikka has prior house- and pet sitting experience and has always lived in a pet household. She has been volunteering for an ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANISATION in Finland, being responsible of stray and rescue cats looking for their new permanent home, including being a foster home, doing VET VISITS and different MEDICAL TREATMENTS. So if your furry friend has any special needs, you can count on us.

Kevin has worked in GARDENING AND HOUSE MAINTENANCE and he had various house-sitting jobs which included the maintenance of gardens. So mowing your lawn or watering plants is not a big deal for us. Kevin loves to PLAY with cats and dogs and he is also able to CLEAN AQUARIUMS OR PUMPS if needed.

It's important for us that your pets will have STRESS-FREE CHANGE when you are leaving. So beforehand we would like to know your pet's routine, what they like, when they eat, where they sleep, how long they like to walk etc. We enjoy taking LONG WALKS with dogs in parks or at beaches. So share your pets favourite place with us!

What we CAN DO:
We are aware that some house owners are not feeling very comfortable with house sitters using their kitchen equipment, bathroom or bedroom. To make the house sit as convenient as possible for you, we can bring our OWN LINEN, BLANKETS, PILLOWS, TOWELS etc. We also have our OWN KITCHEN STUFF.
Any GARDEN WORK to do? No Problem! As we feel very grateful for your trust and Kevin likes to do garden work, we don’t mind doing some extra work.
Should you be curious about the well being of your pet, we can KEEP YOU UPDATED WITH PICTURES/MESSAGES.
We can also provide POLICE CHECKS.

What we WILL DO:
One thing we assume you don’t want to do when you come home is cleaning after your house sitters. We will CLEAN EVERY ROOM you provided to us and WASH BEDSHEETS AND PILLOWCASES. The rooms will be in at least in the same CLEAN CONDITION as you left them. In other words: You won’t even notice that we were there. We RESPECT YOUR PROPERTY AND PRIVACY.
And of course we will do everything we agreed on in our private conversation with you.

We keep in touch with previous house owners and some of them have become close friends. We, as a traveling couple, see house- and pet sitting as a great opportunity to travel Australia and we are incredibly grateful for the trust we get from house owners.
