Hello! We are Kim and Kendall.

We are a reliable, honest couple in our 40s/50s and we work as a team to look after your home.

We have a range of relevant experience between us which means we can take professional care of your pets, plants and 'palace'. Our combined experience includes:
** 30 years as a much-loved country veterinary doctor, covering all creatures great and small - including chief veterinarian role for National Retrieving Trial Championship (2019)
** 25 years of farming (mix of cropping and cattle, with the usual barnyard of chooks, pigs etc)
** 40 years of military experience (in addition to having been checked by the police, we both have up to date security checks)

We are both currently professionally employed in Canberra, where we own our own home. In our spare time we love pottering in the garden, bushwalks, cycling, reading and maintaining a broad knowledge of global affairs.

All of this means we know how to run a neat and tidy home; we are experts in managing contingencies and we practice safe public health. With adult children and no current pets, we would just bring our non-smoking and immunised selves to your house.

Like many others, we have used house sitting as a way to explore Australia, without the expense. We have also done house sitting locally (especially during our own home renovations) which has the added benefit of making new friendships. Many of our jobs are word of mouth, but we share whatever references we get through this site.

We are both employed full time and more likely to accept roles where we have plenty of notice and/or the duration is less than 2 weeks. That way we can negotiate time away from work or (if you have reliable internet) working remotely from your home. Thanks for understanding. Read more...
