Hi! My name is Shanae and I am a 29 year old nurse who is travelling Australia indefinitely with my Husband, Tom, and our two year old son, Hamish. Tom is 31 and a carpenter and Hamish is an adventurous little guy who loves animals and the outdoors.

We left our home on the Mornington Peninsula in July last year in our caravan and land cruiser and started travelling around Australia full time and we are loving the lifestyle we are living. This year we are heading up the East Coast and are looking to house sit occasionally to help us fully experience life in the areas we are staying in and we are also a bit sick of being crammed in caravan parks, especially on school holidays so we thought we would give house sitting a go.

Neither of us are working while we are travelling and we spend our days outside, sightseeing or relaxing on beaches.

We have house sat a lot for family and friends over the years and can provide written references on request. We all love animals and have a great deal of experience with cats, dogs, rabbits and chickens and we are more than happy to care for any other pets as long as you provide us with the education and guidance.

We are non smokers, love indoor plants and will give outdoor gardening a go. Tom is very handy with maintenance and mowing if you require it.

We are very neat and tidy and are more than happy to stay in our caravan at your property if would prefer your beds to be not slept in or house not lived in while you are away. Your pets will be extremely spoilt (unless you advise us otherwise) and will receive constant affection from us and especially Hamish. He isn’t rough with animals but loves to give them cuddles, so if you do have pets they do need to be kid friendly or we must have space where we can easily seperate them from Hamish.

We understand how daunting it can be having someone living in your house and how much pride people take in their homes. We are home owners and rent our house out while we travel so we really do understand the importance of having your home cared for and promise to live up to the same standards that we have for our renters.
