I am an active 70-yr-0ld widow and have recently sold my home on acreage in the Noosa Hinterland. I will be taking my time before buying a smaller retirement home somewhere on the Sunshine Coast (Qld). I am seeking house-sitting positions on the Sunshine Coast while I search for a new home.

I maintained my own home and garden by myself and to a high standard since my husband died three years ago - and before that for five years as his full-time carer. We had 20 wonderful years in the home I've just sold, but though I'm still fit and active and a keen gardener, the time has come to move to something more suitable for the next decade!

I am an experienced and knowledgeable gardener. For the past two years I have been Secretary of our local Garden Club. I have also had dogs in the past - we lost our last dog during my late husband's final years. And I've often cared for my daughter's two dogs (a Jack Russell and a minuature dachshund). At other stages of my life I've had a cat, a Guinea pig, a rabbit, birds and chickens. I also had a large veggie garden.

I am considered by friends and family to be an excellent and meticulous homemaker. My home was rated very highly by the real estate agent who handled its sale - indeed it sold prior to officially going on the market. Now I plan to take my time before buying my next house. My furniture and personal effects are in storage. I'll be house-sitting in Cooroy during July, then having some time with family in August. I am free for other house-sitting from late August.
