We are Peter and Julie, a friendly, active, reliable, honest and motivated retired married couple who love animals, are house-proud and enjoy going for long daily walks. We are very flexible regarding the areas where we will house sit around Adelaide and surrounding areas.

Prior to retiring, Peter held a senior management position in a telecommunications company and Julie held a similar position in education. Peter is actively involved in Rotary. We began our house sitting journey in November 2015 and have already been engaged to do many house sittings. We have just completed our seventh.

WHY WE WANT TO HOUSE SIT:
We have recently returned to our home town of Adelaide to be closer to our families after 27 years of living and working in Victoria. House sitting is a way for us to become re-acquainted with different areas in Adelaide and South Australia before choosing a place to settle and buy a home again, whilst helping someone else out at the same time. We will not buy a house for at least 18 months, so rest assured, we will not leave you without a house sitter.

WHY WE ARE IDEAL HOUSE SITTERS:
We are currently undertaking our seventh house-sit this year and have some excellent references from these home owners. We are non-smokers, drug-free, both have current police checks and take the responsibility of looking after someone else's pets and homes very seriously.

We both exercise by walking at least 8-10km every day and can offer the opportunity for your dog(s) or possibly an unusually energetic cat to get good daily exercise. Your pets' happiness is of paramount importance and we will give them all the care and attention they need while you are away and maintain their daily routines - their health and well-being is a top priority.

While you are away we will treat your home with utmost respect and your instructions will be faithfully followed allowing you to relax and enjoy your holiday. Being homebodies, upon your return you will find your home as good as or better than you left it and your garden maintained.

We fully understand all aspects of home ownership responsibilities. We have lovingly cared for and maintained several of our own homes over a few decades. During this time, we have successfully completed many household remodelling projects and are good problem solvers. Peter is a 'Jack of all trades' and generally handy to have around.

Our personal pet ownership experience is extensive and includes dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, chooks and white mice. Our first house (farm) sitting engagement enabled us to add two cute pet kangaroos and a mob of not so pet sheep to this list.

We are very technology savvy and if you wish to keep in touch while you are away, we are happy to be contactable via the internet using Skype etc, to let you see your pets and for you to talk to them.
