My wife and I are in our early 60's we have been married for 43 years and retired for 7 years, having sold our business in the UK.
We have lived in Southern Spain for the last nine years, the way of life there is superb. We have two children, Richard who is 35, recently married and has lived in Washington DC for the last 10 years. Katie is 33 and married to a super Australian, Jono, they have a 12 month old baby called Benjamin, best baby in the world! As you can see Kath & I now do a lot of traveling visiting our children.
We have a large detached house in Spain with 3 acres of land and over 150 fruit trees, Olive, Almond, Apple, Orange, Mango, figs and lemon trees.
This will be our first house sit, but I am very practical (have to be living in Spain) we have had dogs in the past, but when our last dog passed on a few years ago aged 13, we decided that our life style did not lend itself to another pet, so we contented ourselves looking after friends and neighbours animals.
Over the last 6 years we have travelled all over the world, we love it, we don't however like staying in hotels all the time, hence wanting to house and pet sit, yet still see lots of interesting places.
We have spent many months here in Australia over the last 3 years, but always in the Melbourne area, we would now like to see more of the country, yet access to our family in Melbourne. We have now received our 12 months visa, flights are booked and we arrive in Melbourne on April 3rd. We have a number of sits already booked, but we are keen to find one or more for Queensland from July 1st to August 18th
