Hello there! You can call me Jo, I am a Italian-Brazilian Ecologist / Environmentalist. I was based in Alice Springs NT since September 2020, but the post-covid era gave me opportunity to engage in remote work, therefore the flexibility to move around Australia.

EXPERIENCE:
I grew up in a farm in countryside Brazil, where I spent the first 20 years of my life surrounded by dogs, cats, chooks, pigs, cattle, horses, sheep and ophaned lambs (A good example of my familiarity with animals is that I learned how to ride a horse years before learning how to ride a pushbike!). Growing up in a farm also gave me a good command of gardining techniques (planting, prunning, hoeing, composting, fertilizing etc). This background awakened my passion for animals, plants and nature in general and, as a professional biologist, I have been working with wildlife and nature conservation for the past few years. I have been involved in projects such as chimpanzee conservation in Guinea-Bissau, Green-turtles conservation in Malaysia and more recently, Environmental Impacts and Rehabilitation Assessments in the Northern Territory. Therefore you can count on my passion and lifelong experience to care fot your pets and garden.

ARRANGEMENTS:
I am currently doing part-time remote work, which gives me the flexibility to adapt to your pet´s schedule. I am a keen bushwalker and don´t mind taking your pet to long walks. I am non-smoker and will bring my own toiletries and food. I am very accessible and responsive via phone, messages and video chats and always happy to catch up with you while you are away to give you feedback or ask questions.

LIMITATIONS:
I am pretty easy-going and open minded and have no restrictions against any kind of house or pets to sit, the only thing is that, although I have an Australian driver´s license, I do not own a car or any other private transport atm so I am limited to properties accessible by public transport.

I am currently in Sydney area and available for a face-to-face interview if you also live in the area. Otherwise I can do a video-chat via Skype or WhatsApp.
