More information about this house sitter

We are retired teachers, non-smokers, in our 70’s and both fit and well. We live on a 50 acre hobby farm near Gympie. Our grandchildren no longer need so much babysitting so we have lots of spare time on our hands and would like to experience other places. We have done 2 previous house swaps in Canada (6 weeks each), one on a hobby farm for rescued abused animals. It was there that we looked after Walter the llama, Dolly the crippled sheep, Elvis the Vietnamese pot-bellied pig (he sang beautifully!), and Toby the Labrador who had the gentlest nature considering his previous abuse. Four years ago we housesat (organised through a mutual friend) a loveable cat for 4 weeks on an acreage just outside Stanthorpe. Then in May of last year we did our first housesit through this website at Clunes in northern NSW. Gordon is experienced at ride-on mowers (both Cox steering wheel type and zero turn type). We are experienced living with large dogs, most recently looking after a staffy for most of last year.
