More information about this house sitter

We are a small family, having always been involved in small business, and so didn't have the time to commit to a pet. Having decided that we wanted to raise our daughter ourselves (as we were, in the country) instead of daycare, we planned our lives and work to suit this. In business, our priority values were integrity, leading by example and taking part in every job (not afraid to get our hands dirty), and customer service. I think this is why our friends have chosen us each time they go away, because they know we will drop everything to help out, and we treat their homes and fur babies like our own. Our daughter loves to be outside, but often being a guest in others homes has a good understanding of respect, and of what is ours and what is not - which is great. Although, if there is a pet, we generally don't see her inside!

Why would we like to house sit?
Currently we are in between homes (house sitting for close friends), taking our time to find a lovely home to settle down in for a couple of years, and house sitting allows us to experience different suburbs, and also helps to dream build for our future home. Our little girl loves animals as well, and since we don't have any pets, often gives her the chance to play with 'friends' as she describes them. As I am currently studying (online), and building the foundation to an online business, being able to house sit also helps us to build our finances too. We have thoroughly enjoyed every one of experiences house sitting.

Experience?
We have looked after houses that have needed garden maintenance, and have a small garden maintenance company so also well equipped to deal with that. Our friends that we have house sat for we have looked after their homes multiple times - so must be doing something right. Have always commented that we have left the house in better shape than when we came in - so that is a good sign. We don't mind either, as we understand when you leave you may well be in a rush, and we have cleaned dishes and laundry on entry, and when we leave we give the house a thorough clean so that when you walk in the door you can relax properly after travelling home :) Read more...
