Hello!

We are Mary and Steve, a newly retired couple in our 60s who live in the USA (although Steve is originally English). Our daughter lives in Australia with her Aussie husband and we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild in early October 2024. Our daughter lives in Adamstown NSW so we are seeking house sitting opportunities in the Newcastle area for our visit during the months of October and November 2024. This will allow us to stay nearby without intruding on their space.

Three key things about us:

• Experienced Homeowners: With 35 years of homeownership under our belts, we understand the importance of maintaining a clean, orderly, and secure home.

• Animal Lovers: Although we don't currently have pets (which is why we are able to travel overseas for lengthy periods of time), we have cherished both cats and small dogs in the past. We love caring for furry family members and will ensure they receive the same love and attention you give them.

• Plant Care Expertise: I (Mary) spent my career as a botanist so I love plants and have a well honed green thumb. Whether your plants need watering, pruning, or a little extra care, they will be in good hands.

We are trustworthy, dependable and tidy so you can rest assured that your home and pet(s) will be well looked after, giving you peace of mind while you are away. Our daughter is more than happy to come meet you ahead of our arrival into Australia if you would like, and we are happy to video chat at any time to ensure you feel secure and confident in your decision to choose us.
