I am a very social person, who loves to travel and what better way to see our own country, than to offer myself and my time, to become a housesitter/pet sitter/ property sitter. I am 51 years old, currently in a defacto relationship with my partner of 4 years (known each other for over 20yrs) and step-parent to his 3 youngest children, aged 10,11 & 12 yrs old. Prior to this I was married and lived in Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast. I was born in Sydney, where most of my relatives are from and are still living. I have lived also, in Yeppoon, Adelaide, Tasmania, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Woolongong. I have travelled extensively along the east coast of Australia and would eventually love to make it over to WA and explore the top end in more detail. As funds are a little tight at present, we havent been travelling as much as we would like to. We also would like the kids to see more of the country and actually see it with 'real' eyes and not just holiday time eyes. Housesitting allows us to blend more in to a community and experience more of the everyday lifestyle of towns and cities. It also allows for friendships and eventual houseswapping which, once we have a permanent home, is something I would be interested in doing also, should we start up some friendships via Mindahome. Pet sitting is also fine with us as the kids and I love animals and have all got experience with having our own pets over the years. Mainly dogs and cats and birds. We have also had some farming experience with cattle and horses and would be interested in housesitting that involves some other interesting creatures or animals to care for every now and then.
