Responsible, mature, capable, trustworthy housesitters

With careers in real estate (Liz) and education (Betsey), we are well aware of the importance of maintaining a clean, tidy and calm home. Dealing regularly with house-related repair issues makes us well-suited to care for a diverse range of properties.

We are looking forward to an opportunity to show your home the same loving care we show our own home in beautiful coastal Port Macquarie on the mid-north coast of NSW, Australia, where we host guests from all around the world in a bed-and-breakfast at the rear of our house.

As home-owners and BnB* hosts ourselves, we bring with us a great awareness of how to look after a house, garden, pool and what is most important to you – your beloved pets.
We are just returning home to our work in Port Macquarie after 5 months overseas which included 4 months of cat and house-sitting in San Francisco, California. The purpose of the trip was that Betsey’s elderly mother required assistance, and we needed to spend some time nearby her and helping with family matters. As we were uncertain of our return date, our home is not yet available, so we are looking for housesitting opportunities in the Port Macquarie / Hastings area starting 1 February.

As we have lived ourselves in a number of different countries, South Africa, the US, Asia, Britain, New Zealand and Australia, we are culturally aware and most interested in travel and diversity and being exposed to all the world has to offer. As for pets, we’ve had a boxer, a Rhodesian ridgeback, a golden retriever, 2 beagles, a labrador, a wirehaired fox terrier, a manx cat, 3 rescued stray kittens, a rat, an axolotl, 2 bunnies, 2 guinea pigs, uncountable fish and what the family has always wanted is a PUG!!

To add to the menagerie, we are also mothers of five daughters, three living overseas and two settled in Sydney, and two grandchildren. We are therefore resourceful, responsible, reliable and fully able to handle emergency situations if and when they arise.

We are well educated, professional, responsible and trustworthy. To be honest, we are the kind of people we would look for to house sit for us.
