More information about this house sitter

Brian and I are dog lovers from way back. I grew up with 2 Dobermans, a Blue Heeler, a German Shepherd, and a Boxer. Not all at the same time, but there were 3 in the house at one stage for many years; and all inside dogs. Now, we still have the pleasure of our beautifully mannered 10-year-old, miniature Labradoodle. Our (now 19-year-old) daughter has been known for years throughout our neighborhood as an animal whisperer with special attention to dogs and birds.
My husband, Brian grew up with his beloved Fox Terrier and swears he speaks "Dog" ;-) A very calm and gentle soul, Brian loves to play the guitar when he's not working from home on the computer. He also loves the satisfaction of fixing things. His motto is to leave things in a better condition than you found them.
We both delight in getting to know the individual personalities of all dogs we encounter. A couple of years ago we had the pleasure of sitting a great dane who was just delightful and chocker block full of personality.
We both love walking around new areas and sharing these times with Sumba (our little lady) and any other K9 friends who care to join us.
Over the years we've looked after several friends' dogs including an elderly Cavalier, Poodle, Samoyed, Shihtzu-Terrier cross, Great Dane, standard Labradoodle, and a Maltese Pomeranian. Some of these needed special attention to overcome anxiety. We generally find the dogs are sad to see us go. Gentle as we are, we have no problems creating defined boundaries where needed.
I'm a singer/entertainer who loves to retreat into a quiet space when at home. I get my grounding from painting, drawing, and gardening. so if you have one of those, you'll come home to it all being healthy and lush.

We've just sold our family home in Melbourne, Australia, and are looking forward to making new memories in Qld and elsewhere around the world.
